This is the prototype of the mobile.  The frames are used on only one side of the paper, this way they have enough weight to check the balance of it but there wasn't a need for the second side at this stage.  As you can see, wooden dowels, paper clips, and tape were also used.  The real purpose of the prototype was to see if I liked the idea of the mobile but also to get the size and basic layout worked out.  This way I could see how it rotated in both still air and a breeze and was there any cases where they interfered with each other.  After having the prototype up for a while, I knew that I would like it and the layout was a good one.
