up. This really
isn't a picture of me flying in
New
Zealand. However, it is me up there. Another pilot
took my
picture on Coronet Peak, but never sent it to me. So, no NZ
hang
gliding pictures, but you'll still get a good pic.
This is a picture of my
first solo
flight. It was a pleasant
and
calm summer evening. I thought I would be a bit apprehensive
on
my
first solo flight and kept waiting for the fear to come, but it never
did. Once up in the air, it was amazing at how nimbly the
glider
handled. The difference on this flight was that I was minus
110
kilos
of ballast (otherwise known as my instructor). I was flying
over
a road about 400 meters up and there was a cyclist beneath. I
briefly
thought to myself , "What a great evening for a ride. I wish
I
was
down their riding right now.....Nah!"
