The boat dropped us off at the southern trailhead of the track on Lake Hauroko. About 20 meters from the lake shore the track starts.  When I said that I immediately knew that this trail would be awesome, I mean that.  This place was so exotic with all these different plants right next to each other.  It's a great sight with which to start a track.  I could see what this track was going to be about from what I could see next to the sign.
