The Porari River Track follows the Porari river, pretty basic, huh?  About 1 km upstream from the ocean is a canyon where the incredibly primitive part of the track begins.  Every time I see this picture, I think of the dinosaurs.  It made me wonder what the Earth was like 100 million years ago.  It made me realize how much we will never know of the past.
